The Bellagio in Las Vegas is the example of Class and luxury for Las Vegas Casinos.  The beautiful casino, designed and built by Las Vegas legend, Steve Wynn, is famous for its plush accommodations, gorgeous facilities and dancing fountains that have become the trademark for Las Vegas.  Its also famous for have extremely classy bathrooms, like the one pictured below.

Ah, the eternal question remains:  Style or Location?

I am of course refferring to the decision that one has to make at the beginning of every trip to beautiful Las Vegas: Do I choose a hotel based on the beauty of their rooms and casino, or do I choose a place with a great location and then GO to the nicer places? Well, why don’t we take a look at the bathrooms as the deciding factor.

We will use the Flamingo, which has a perfect location in Vegas. It is mid-strip and is walking distance from:

the Bellagio,
Ceasars,
Bally’s,
Harrahs,
the Mirage,
the Venetian,
The Wynn and Encore,

and many of the hot nightclubs and nightspots of Las Vegas. We will compare the Flamingo with the Mandalay Bay. The Mandalay is at the very end of strip, has very luxurious rooms, a gigantic casino with an awesome club, bar, and a huge pool with a water park. It is not too difficult to get to other places on the strip, but it would definitely more convenient to be more mid-strip.

One of the most luxurious hotel stays you can find on the strip, the Mandalay Bay’s wonderful THE Hotel is gorgeous, spacious, and completly elite.  Hey, you could get plenty of nice rooms in several places on the strip, but THE Hotel is the best of the best.

Rates go anywhere from $300 a night and up, up, up!

Encore, the sister hotel of the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino will be open for reservations as early as February 9th 2009.  Here is a little glimpse of the newest gem on the crown of Las Vegas.

The Encore will feature Floor to Ceiling windows, pillowtop mattresses, overstuffed pillows, wireless internet access, flat-screen TVs, dual sinks, and phones in the bathroom. The rooms offer fantastic views of the strip, Mt. Wynn, and the 18-hole golf course.

Just saw over on Travel Zoo that Palace Station is having a summer room special promotion. Looks like they have rates as low as $34 midweek in June and as low as $39 midweek in July.

These rates are for the Courtyard rooms, the good thing about these rates is that there are multiple days in a row that are offering the discounted rates. Sometimes these hotels will offer good specials, but when you try to book it will only have one or two days at the low rate and then high rates surrounding them.

I was also able to find a picture of a bathroom at the Palace Station. Nice color choice and nice pedestal sink. * I am not sure if this in the Courtyard or Tower rooms.
